I am feeling inspired to paint something different and imaginative now, following all of those still lifes I have had to do for my course. I just need to figure out what! Maybe I should take a leaf from your book and go through some photographs! Your little boy is SO cute! :0)Sandrahttp://www.sketch-mad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-320847148928421544.post-79078269296032403292010-08-13T16:45:26.707-07:002010-08-13T16:45:26.707-07:00Beautiful post, Crystal. It will be important to have really good reference for such clothing, the way it hangs and moves, etc. Can't wait to see what you do! And that adoreable child reminds me of my son at that age - such angels especially when sleeping:-)Karen Martin Sampsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15180294856179918446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-320847148928421544.post-38084272974449402422010-08-13T10:13:12.222-07:002010-08-13T10:13:12.222-07:00Hi Crystal - found you through a mutual blogger fr...Hi Crystal - found you through a mutual blogger friend - and loved your Inspirations post and earlier that Louis Pateur quote you shared with us about children. Had a good laugh about the fair incident. Most of all, have found a truly talented portrait painter. I'll certainly come again - lots of times.Joan Sandford-Cookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04228835690449964257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-320847148928421544.post-29361394386464354192010-08-12T18:45:55.578-07:002010-08-12T18:45:55.578-07:00I watched part of that movie last week also. I'd love to see you paint a period piece. That would be a lot of fun. I'm going to have to think on that and really decide what mine is. A dear old friend from (at the time) East Germany once told me of his favourite painting and expounded on the beauty of it. He gave me a museum guide book that had a picture of it inside. I was so taken with how he lovingly described it that I now feel a kinship toward it. It is The Chocolate Girl by Jean-Etienne Liotard. Thanks for bringing up this topic Crystal! Nice memories and things to think about.<br />And p.s. I've been wanting to see Bright Star for some time. So it's a good movie?Kim Rempelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10010163424578410675noreply@blogger.com
