This little fellow shines the whole adult's world with his eyes! Absolutely gorgeous, Crystal!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your little boy is better :)
Warm regards.
What a face. So much expression and knowing in those eyes. Nice cropping too. I love all the rich colour, but everything blended so smoothly. Beautiful. Glad your son is better and I love that you bought him owl cookies. Yes, a little extra spoiling is good for the soul : )
ReplyDeleteSo so so so sooooooooooo gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAwesome face, those eyes! And the shadows of the lashes, incredible! <3
ReplyDeleteStunning!
ReplyDeleteOh this is just gorgeous! What a face to paint! I can see why you wanted to. He looks very unimpressed at having his photo taken, lol! It's expressions like this that make your paintings so unique. And his deep, glossy eyes are beautiful. My favorite part is the shadows of his eyelashes across his cheeks - perfect! :0)
ReplyDeleteOh those eyelashes' cast shadow is spectacular Crystal, I'm your fan!
ReplyDeleteI honestly think that your use of color is the best I've ever seen... The tones are so rich and the hues are exactly right. You brought out the tenderness and spirit of this little guy so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteSavvy yes, also determined. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI don't think there's anything more beautiful than the innocence of a child's face. You did an INCREDIBLE job, Crystal...I love it!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh this is so compelling. Those eyes, the shadowy sweep of the lashes, the look in those eyes, well everything!
ReplyDeleteOh Crystal! This is spectacular. The play between the warm and cool tones, the cast shadows on the cheeks, those reflective eyes and the smooth washes that display your confidence with value -- I admire it all! You're amazing.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Crystal! :) I am constantly amazed how you paint so wonderfully in the small format.
ReplyDeleteGlad he is better, Crystal - such a worry.
ReplyDeleteYou are turning out these masterpieces at an incredible rate ...you're really on a roll... long may the paints be with you!

Hey Crystal:) Again a wonderful portrait. I love watching your portraits, they are so real and soft. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow!! is a fantastic portrait, the kid is absolutely lovely! hugs
ReplyDeleteThose eyes are brilliant. The shadows of the lashes on his cheeks are awesome (the teens have made that word a crap word to use, but I refuse to give it up); it applies here. At first thought colored pencil, but watercolor! You are a virtuoso.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Crystal,,,Those eyes speak volumes!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful job! Portraits are hard in watercolor, especially children...kudos!
