Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust - sold

'Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust'  sold
6" x 7" colored pencil on paper

Well I finally did it. I managed to capture a fairy just long enough to draw her portrait. :) She was pretty happy with it, happy enough to leave me with my own personal stash of pixie dust that should last until my retirement. Pretty sweet deal for a simple portrait don't you think? ;)

I believe in fairies. :))) *clap clap* Do you?

"Tink was not all bad: or rather, she was all bad just now, but, on the other hand, sometimes she was all good. Fairies have to be one thing or the other, because being so small they unfortunately have room for one feeling only at a time. They are, however, allowed to change, only it must be a complete change."  J.M. Barrie

  8. Well just look at those beautiful eyes! I could just dive right in! There is not an artist I have come across that can paint portraits like you do! And of course I believe in fairies. My own Mum is one - I call her the ironing fairy, lol! ;0)
I think you have fairy dust all over your magic brushes!

  11. We are believers at our house:))) This is just gorgeous, Crystal. I absolutely love it when you do cooler skin tones, and you just knock that red hair out of the park. Just gorgeous!!!

  12. I love your recent portraits so much -- besides technical excellence they all seem to have a very... airy and otherworldly feeling, just like fairies and creatures hiding from the normal day-to-day world. You are such a good artist when I started to follow you already, but what amazes me most is the speed at which you seem to grow... Yeh Crystal!

We all need some magic in our lifes and a bit of fairy dust too, but a whole stash...? Wow, that was something! :)

  16. Along with everything you already do so well, I just love that red hair. All that bold red being used like that is very bold and the end result is stunning.
