I realized something today. Part of the reason I like painting with oils is because it's a constant challenge for me. And there's a lot of discovery too, figuring out how to do something that I was having trouble with before. I have to think the whole time, and there's also a lot of uncertainty. . . which is also why I don't like painting with oils. ;)

But the only way to get over that is to keep on painting. Onward! :D

    I love this- beautiful color. I like to switch off between watercolor and oils also, and learn so much from the differences.

    I agree with Sandra. Lovely! I think red-haired women may be your muse because you bring a certain je ne sais quoi to them ; ) Did you grow up watching the Anne Of Green Gables show (did it air in the States)? Or read hte books. I think that you would love her.
