"I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck."
Emma Goldman
"By Any Other Name"
watercolor 10 x 14
I painted this rose from my mom's garden as a gift for someone last year. I gotta say that using all those bright colors and painting more wet in wet than I usually do was very exciting. I'd forgotten about that. Must try to remember it now :)
Ahhh, roses. They just say love and summer don't they?
Absolutely beautiful!!!!! Is there anything you can't paint? Crystal you blow me away. you are 240,000 worthy:)
ReplyDeleteAww Carrie! You are the sweetest :):):) Thank you so much, and just between you and me, I think I'm making 240,000 my new goal. Crazy much? Yeah, I think so.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! Great color and smooth texture.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Crystal! At very first glance I thought this was a photograph! but then I realised it was far too beautiful to be a photograph. I mean a camera couldn't possibly pick up so much exquisite detail and colour. If I could paint only half as good as you can, I would be so, so happy!
ReplyDeletePerfectly simple, beautiful work Crystal, love everything about this.
ReplyDeleteCrystal, this rose looks sooooo soft. Beautifully done. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteWow..fabbo!!!
ReplyDeleteit looks realistic and luscious too, Crystal!
Gorgeous , sensitive work
ReplyDeleteCrystal, this is so gorgeous! I love the way you've added yellow and purples...they really give it so much life.

ReplyDeleteCrystal,
ReplyDeleteGreat work here, this painting is rich and very detailed. It sort of glows with color and what is better is the manageable size. Bravo.
Wow, this is so incredible, I had to just study it for a while. Just an incredible painting Crystal.
