ReplyDeleteWords fail me!
ReplyDeleteJust ran across your blog - I am so impressed with your figures. Skin is so hard to paint in watercolor. Really wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAs always. Great painting. Loved the horse post too. I have finally gotten back to painting after several weeks of Gallery put-to-gether and traveling.
ReplyDeleteAs nice as this painting is my first thought is "oh no, not a silk shirt?"!!! Memories of a favorite blue silk shirt, a baby, and the things a baby can do to a shirt in a split second!!! That is why this is such a great painting that touches anyone who has had the joy and ...experience...of holding the cutest baby in the world!
ReplyDeleteYou have captured the expression so well. The eyes , so expressive .Love this cute painting.
ReplyDeleteIt has all been said, still I have to add my praise. The skin tones are outstanding as is the whole painting.

Beautifully observed painting, babies that age have a grip so strong that has to be surgically removed, especially if its got your hair, ear-ring, cats' tail......
ReplyDeleteYour artwork is very beautiful Crystal ... thank you for following my Blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarah! You are exactly right about that!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ingrid! I really enjoy your blog!
Stunning!! One aspect of watercolours I've studiously avoided is portaiture. I saw on another blog that your portraits were the bee's knee's, and how right they were. So glad I've found you - I shall follow with interest.
ReplyDeleteHello John!! Thank you very much :):) So glad you stopped by. Your compliment really means a lot to me!
