Observant - SOLD

This year I have a goal of painting 100 oil portraits. I feel like with each one I get closer and closer to where I want to be. This is one that I'm really happy with.

There was a very innocent perception in his gaze that I really loved. Every time I look at children's faces, whether in photos or life I'm always wondering what it is that they're thinking and seeing, and how it differs from what I see and think, with the jaded eyes of an adult.

This is painting 13/30 (I think, I may have lost track :) in the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge.

    100? at this pace I bet you'll reach that goal not later than march girl!

      Thanks so much Teresa!! I have to admit that I"m beginning to feel a tad burned out with trying to finish a whole painting every single day. I think that's why I keep switching mediums. :) So your encouragement means SOOOO much to me! Came at just the right time. :)

    Lovely portrait,I am glad I am not the only one feeling burnt out,I find painting portraits takes quite a bit of concentration and work,however in the end it is well worth it. So all the best with your one hundred oil portrait paintings.
